Continuing our expository 1 John series, we hear some hard truths spoken with love from the grandfather-like disciple, John. In the third chapter, we are reminded that we are children of God. We should be known for our belief in Jesus and the love of others.

Worship Minister, Joylin Syme shares the sermon today.

Discussion Questions
-------------------------

- How can we effectively balance the concept of being children of God with the responsibility to exhibit love and belief in Jesus? How does this balance influence our interactions with others within and outside our faith community? (1 John 3:1, 1 John 3:11, John 13:35)

- The passage in 1 John 3:2-3 speaks of the hope of being transformed into the likeness of Christ. How does this transformation impact our daily lives as Christians? What are some practical ways we can actively pursue this transformation? (2 Corinthians 3:18, Romans 6:1-4)

- The theme of love is emphasized throughout the passage in 1 John 3:10-19. How does love manifest in our lives as believers, particularly when it comes to loving others? How can we demonstrate a genuine love that extends beyond mere words and into meaningful actions? (1 John 3:10, 1 John 3:18, Revelation 12:10)
