According to some recent reports, todays Homeowners are essentially "handcuffed" by their lower mortgage interest rate. They want to sell, however if they purchase a another property after their sale, the run the risk of obtaining a much higher mortgage rate for their next loan. Homeowners do want to get at their equity, but at what cost ? This phenomenon has stalled the US Housing Market by keeping the much needed inventory off the available Housing Market. We have also seen another decrease in median Home Price point, based on the most recent report from NAR.
