Sermon of His Holiness Pope Jacobus I on Dominica within the Octave of the Ascension...21 May 2023 AD...in today's Gospel Christ Our Lord, the Divine Redeemer, is instructing His disciples about the coming of the Holy Ghost, which then has happened at the day of Pentecost, and the Holy Mother Roman Catholic Church celebrates that great Feast as the very beginning of Her Divinely given mission salvation of souls, and so when Our Lord teaches the Apostles these truths, He invites them to be prepared in mind and soul for them, that when the miraculous coming of the Holy Ghost occurs, and He enriches their souls with the 7 Divine gifts and with the necessary grace of God, to be able to fulfill their mission as the first bishops of the Catholic Church and the 1st Sovereign Pontiff the Pope St. Peter the Apostle, the beginning of the Catholic Church is then accomplished by God, and thus the promise of God to send the 3rd Divine Person of the Holy Trinity, the Holy Ghost the Paraclete, comes to pass, as Christ Our Lord has foretold and promised...
