Turtle casually strolls across road, causes pile-up

A normal day in Florida was had by all on Tuesday, when an impromptu animal rescue mission turned into a pile up involving a pickup truck, several cars and an 18-wheeler. The well-meaning yet unthinking driver of the pickup spotted a turtle having a lovely stroll across a main road, and stopped to do what any of us would in that situation. Unfortunately, the driver stopped his truck and got out just as half a dozen cars were speeding towards him. They managed to avoid a collision, but an 18-wheeler going the same way wasn't so quick to react, leaving everyone a bit shell shocked but miraculously not seriously injured.
It should be pointed out that the turtle was fine, just late for his appointment.
