A critical eye and familiarity with Tolkien's 2nd age is all that's needed to find deep, foundational problems with The Rings of Power--particularly with the Númenorean's motivations.

For some inexplicable (though not at all surprising, I guess) reason, Amazon's show COMPLETELY ignores that Númenor fell because they went against the ban of the Valar in their desire for immortality, assaulting the undying lands.
