In general, a larger, stronger dog would likely be able to defeat a smaller monkey in a fight, but a monkey's agility and quickness could potentially give it an advantage over a slower, less agile dog.
They may chase a cat or ignore it, but will not injure it. There have been reports of monkeys grooming cats as they do buck. Here are a few simple ways to interact with them safely: 1. Never corner a monkey where it feels threatened.

But despite the general picture of harmony, the survey revealed cats were by far the more antagonistic of the animals. Homeowners reported that cats were three times more likely to threaten their canine housemates than vice versa, and 10 times more likely to injure them in a fight.

As it turns out, the relationship between primate and feline is wonderfully symbiotic. The vervets, like humans, act and feel much calmer while petting and grooming the cats, and the cats get all the attention they can handle.
