We feel like there’s more people out there like Us who are “liberals” but see the tyranny behind the ‘politically correct’ veil; there is lot of ‘elitist’ influence over the whole damn system both sides of the isle & whatever’s behind those curtains. It is my aim to initiate discussion amongst like-minded free thinkers.
Free thinker as opposed to independent thinker; I’ve inevitably formed a personal identity of my own now, ground floor based around said family values, (my father a retired 30 year SeattlePD detective), A Democrat but more conservative than my Chinese-American mother. Pretty typical middle class household 2 kids a dog & we owned our home (mortgage). Childhood is full of blessed memories & laughs that juxtaposed against the thicker, clumsier edges of Being that only start to make themselves known as the innocence of childhood recedes. Ahh.... The human experience; reality begins creeping more & more as time flows forward, like an ocean of potential who's waves are continuously breaking against the firm, fully formed shore. A dance between mapped out land & the uncharted waters of the unknown.

Waking up at 9 years old to my cartoons being interrupted by people leaping to their deaths as two giant towers fell & blew up.

It makes me sick to look at the National news cover the mass deaths this year, but hell, to see the devastating impact #COVID19 has had all I have to do is look around the little island I reside on here in the Pacific Northwest corner of the Greatest country on Earth. Mass unemployment, food shortages, doctors being booked out for moths.... this thing is bigger than your local #Walmart running out of toilet paper. It’s bigger than Walmart hiring new greeters with #Police on their vests, (actual police officers-not on the walmart payroll)

I had the day off on 1-6-21 & was glued to my monitors before anything more than a million red hats swarmed D.C. I had it on my calendar for a month or so as, “the day ‘Trump supporters mobilize at the capital & demand an investigation!?!?’ By this point I had publicly denounced just about Everything Trump; he hadn’t accomplished any significant (positive) change over the last year & He hadn’t conceded, dividing the country even further during a time when the word ‘unprecedented’ has been said more than ‘A-men’. Then Trump began to speak & my computer lit up with alerts about the “civil disobedience” taking place at the capital building concurrently to the presidential address.
I stared at the live coverage; cnn on the tube covering the establishment angle (now the “insurrection” argument he’s currently on trial for impeachment over, again. With ‘Infowars’ on my laptop covering Trumps farewell speech (one of two media outlets to cover it, + Newsmax), the waay out there Alex Jones yelling at hordes of people to “stay peaceful stay calm...” ( etc etc)
That afternoon, as videos portrayed the “siege”, another resource was a couple close confidantes with me on skype. This helped me in real time to facilitate the rowing & steering required to even begin formulating a moderately unbiased perspective on this #Daamn mess. (Additionally one is a Bernie bro one is a trumpet.)
As the trial is underway, having voted against the establishment, I am pleased with some of the policy change already demonstrated by the new administration. With progressive roots, an anti-authoritarian-filled youth & having socially democratic ideologies — The underlying ‘Why?’ — is as tempting a string to tug as any - though - having accepted the stance that it was likely 1 of 4 scenarios - The ‘What’ is a much more bountiful frame for the question. Whether this truly was #Insurrection (an intentional call to mobilize in a treasonous manner), foreign meddling, (*China? or Russia?), independent groups such as Antifa, Proud Boys, Bernie bro’s, OR something all together of a different nature with origins closer to home. Yes, Home, USA!
I am a proud, white Chinese American who feels almost like I’m being persecuted to claim the title of, ‘Patriot’. Denouncing the proud boys, like the kkk, doesn’t take an in depth journey of discovery to completely disassociate myself with any group under a racist / hate based umbrella. This doesn’t mean I am proud of all the atrocities carried out on our soil, even pre-dating colonialism & Columbus was Leaf Erickson & his militiamen (Vikings)... yet..... I don’t see anyone causing commotion over Minnesota’s purple & gold spouting football team (#DaamnTalk)
As usual, Native Americans & other poorer minorities are disproportionately effected by the federally-fueled class-war, oops, I mean the “covid pandemic”. ‘They’ gave the “savages” blankets infected with small pox in order to - get this great nation...... We need to at least consider the possibility that ‘Theyd’ give us Covid in order to - Keep this great nation.
