As you may know, the ERTC program was introduced in 2020 as part of the CARES Act, and it has been extended several times since then, most recently through the end of 2022. This program provides a tax credit to businesses that have been affected by the pandemic and have had to either partially or fully suspend operations or have experienced a significant decline in revenue.
So, what's new for 2023? Well, first, the program has been extended yet again, this time through the end of 2023. This means that eligible businesses will be able to claim the credit for wages paid through December 31, 2023.
