Ted Bundy

Ted Bundy was a serial killer, rapist, and necrophiliac who was executed in Florida's electric chair in 1989. He was born on November 24, 1946, in Burlington, Vermont, and grew up to be a charming, articulate, and intelligent young man. Bundy raped and/or murdered scores of women, strangling and mutilating his victims. He typically approached women in public places, either asking for help by feigning a physical impairment such as an injury, or impersonating an authority figure. Bundy was often regarded as charismatic and handsome, traits he exploited to win the trust of both his victims and society as a whole. After more than a decade of denials, he confessed to 30 murders committed in seven states between 1974 and 1978. His true victim total is unknown and likely significantly higher.
