Russian troops flee as Ukrainian tank fires on their position in Bakhmut

A Ukrainian tank was able to fire at Russian positions in Bakhmut at very close range after identifying their location by a drone, as the Ukrainian military claimed to have made further gains on one of the most strongly contested front line cities in the war.

Video footage reportedly from Ukraine’s 30th mechanised brigade appears to show Russian soldiers firing at a drone which has come very close to their trench positions, before coming under heavy fire by a Ukrainian tank.

The tank travels along a mud track parallel to the trench before its assault. Soldiers can be seen fleeing their positions following the heavy fire.
