We consider the recent VISA ban placed by the US government on some politically exposed persons in Nigeria who may have played a role in the debacle called the 2023 general elections.

This was an election characterised by low voter turn out, intimidation of voters, threat to life, killing, rigging, vote trading, disruption of the voting process, mutilation of result sheets and several other vices.

We also look at those whose names may be on the list. And we consider whether or not the action taken by the US government can deter these political rascals.
