Harley is one of those horses that rarely comes around. I have maybe met 5 in my lifetime that are as easy and willing and solid minded as he is. If I wasn’t hired to do this as a job and wasn’t locked into doing it, I would have kept him for my grandkids and my friends to come enjoy, or I’d take him to Expo’s and do demonstrations off of, and I honestly for the first time felt like I could or wanted to go compete in Ranch Riding and Trail/obstacle competitions.

He is a horse that can sit and not be used for a month and you pull out cold and climb on and he will not miss a beat. He would make an amazing “heart horse”; what I mean by that is if you’re looking for a best friend that will load up and go anywhere with you, then he is your man! He wants to go! If you want to go compete, go to clinics, go on camping trips with your friends, go to a parade, or simply just go and bathe and groom him, he is ready! He is slow and steady. He doesn’t speed up when you release the reins, is easy to make go but not so much that he leaves your seat, which to me is the best and most amazing attribute. Typically, you have a forward horse that is easy to make go but might leave your seat or you have more whoa then go and a beginner rider or a someone that doesn’t want to “kick hard” has a very difficult time getting them to go. He will go with ease but stay with you the entire time. Even if you’re not 100% correct he will figure you out and make up the difference. He blows my mind every time with this. I just love him for his ease of handling.

He is not a super fast horse, so if you’re looking to rope and barrel race he is not your man. Unless you don’t mind cruising the pattern. He would win you ribbons all day at all levels of ranch riding, trail, and obstacle courses. He can go sort cattle and compete in Ranch Sorting. Not sure he would be the fastest at Team Penning but he will definitely get your cow out and bring him up.

He is an “easy keeper” and keeps his weight really easy, he is not one that needs a ton of supplements. I give just the basics to him. I have had him an entire year at my place getting him ready for his person and not one time has he been sore, had a cold, or got sick in any way. He gets along with other horses.

He has amazing ground manners. Bathes, clips, shots or any vet work, great for the farrier, loads, simply an easy horse.

I cannot say enough about this horse. He is husband safe, kid and grandkid safe, friend who has never rode safe, friend who is incredibly experienced would have fun and beg you to let them buy him! He is the one. He needs a person that loves him as much as he is willing to love you.

He comes with lessons from me if you want (4/5 days you can spend with me) or 1/2 off my performance one month riding program. I want this to be successful. I want him to have the best home and for you to have the best experience.
