History: Science or Fiction? The First Romanovs. Film 18 of 24
This film will tell the story of the change of ruling dynasties and its detrimental influence on the architectural heritage of the country. It is known that architectural monuments contain a lot of information about the era to which they belong. Sometimes the decorations of palaces and temples can tell us more about the time of their creation than chronicles and government documents. This film will depict Russian architectural structures of the 15th-17th centuries, which held the authentic history of the old Rurik Empire. With the arrival of the Romanovs to power, the fate of many of these monuments was sealed. After eliminating their political opponents, the new rulers of Russia embarked on the destruction of history and ancient Russian culture. A wave of demolitions swept across the country, resulting in the irreversible loss of most of the historical monuments of the pre-Romanov era.
