Do Corporate Entities Have Rights to Your Property?

This past week Stand4THEE had an opportunity to join a home owner's meeting with Hydro One to discuss the Wassigan Transmission Line Project, https://www.hydroone.com/about/corporate-information/major-projects/waasigan?fbclid=IwAR1SqdE7NKH897WgEo_6FdycQFqjuENXNIz9TWzJl44xnSm_GLucezKC4rM.

Hydro One wants us to believe that the home owners have consented to the project without issue, however, what we saw was bully tactics and threats to expropriate private property. They even went as far as to threaten to invoke the Expropriation Act, https://www.ontario.ca/laws/statute/90e26?fbclid=IwAR2Q-Sbprk3YvRcQM-wgAKBTH3VCrw_0H0BV1z-VR7KcjBpupABySfO0LxM.

And Mitchell, from New Brunswick, is taking on a municipality who wants to limit the number of chickens one can own.

Why should this matter? Because when we dig into the heart of the issue, it's a rights violation. And when your neighbours rights are violated, it opens the door for yours to be violated.
