The Gospel is Narrow in Concept but Broad in Application

The word of God is term loosely used nowadays to refer to a preacher's message, whatever it is the preacher has to say including when such is far away from the message of the Bible.

The word of God for the world today refers to the gospel of Jesus Christ which is narrow in concept. That is, the gospel of Jesus is God offering salvation unto eternal life to humanity from Satan, sin and death through Christ Jesus, by believing in Him, His death, burial and resurrection. This is what God wants the world to know.

The broadness in application of the gospel is seen in imposing the virtues of eternal life we have in Christ in all its glory on our lives and living in this world, in how we conduct ourselves in business or professional life, family and other relationships, in our actions and inaction, and our speech.
