Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust SAND MANTAS!!!

The scene from the 2000 animated film, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, in which you get introduced to the future genetically engineered monsters known as Sand Mantas, giant genetically engineered beasts based on Manta Rays from past Aquatic Life that burrow through sand and can easily destroy human cities. These beasts were made by the Vampires who conquered humanity following a nuclear Holocaust to keep the humans under control.
Vampire Hunter D is a series of manga, novels, and two animated films from the imagination of Japanese Author Hideyuki Kikuchi, spanning 40 novels with additional comic book adaptations. The original novels have been published in English and other languages since 2005.
