This was added to my order for my lunch bag at Zero cost. It's great to keep my lunch cool until lunchtime. I now forgo the dreaded shared fridge in my department.
I placed four of these in a lunchbox sized soft sided cooler along with some lunch items I wanted to take camping. They held up pretty good, and were still cool the next day but wouldnt rely on them longer than a work day to keep food at a safe temperature.
I would think these would be great for a kids lunch for school, or for work, seeing that the food should be eaten by midday.
I bought several of these ice packs and they work as intended. They arent fancy or have a soft shell which is better. We have some newer ice packs that are of the soft cover variety and sometimes they get punctured sand become useless.
I would buy these products since they keep anything cold and dont break or puncture easily.
It's compact for a lunch bag.

I wish I had more of these the last time a hurricane came through. Keeps stuff cold for quite a while and also good to use when the damn electric is out and it's 300 degrees outside. Florida sucks.

At $1 a piece, they are a great deal. Igloo brand ice packs are slim and stay cold very well in a lunchbox or cooler. Other reviewers have complained about the ice pack bowing out and expanding while frozen but ours don’t appear to be expanding too much.
At least not enough to make them unusable! They have been in use for about two weeks now. Stock up on these, and for a dollar, you can’t beat the value.
These are perfect size for a kids lunch box or small thermal totes.
