Protesters, mostly workers from the education sector, took to the streets of Panama City on Wednesday to demand lower fuel, medicine and food prices.

The protest which came amid worsening economic conditions in the Latin American country saw rally-goers march on the streets of Panama's capital with flags and banners.

The protest came shortly after the Panamanian government and protesters closed in on a deal to end the weeks-long protests in the country which has led to road closures and interruption in food supplies.
