Morgan Stanley CEO James Gorman to step down within the year

At a shareholder’s meeting on Friday, Morgan Stanley CEO James Gorman announced he would be stepping down as leader of the investment giant. Gorman said the move will happen sometime within the next 12 months as he transitions to the role of Executive Chairman. Gorman, who has been CEO for 13 years, said the board has identified three internal candidates to replace him.
