G7 leaders unveil new Russian sanctions, US cuts off over 100 entities

President Biden and the G7 world leaders unveiled a new round of sanctions against Russia on Friday in the latest effort to tighten the country’s financing of their war against Ukraine. The U.S. Treasury Department announced the sanctions of 22 individuals and 104 entities, with a focus on targeting Russia’s future energy extraction capabilities and financial services sector. The State Department has also imposed more than 200 sanctions and other restricting measures.
