Inspired by the Japanese and Toyotas platform strategy ( Toyota - Lexus / Infinity - Nissan) Dr Piech took this thinking to the extreme when aquiring Lamborghini and also the name of Bugatti and soon afterwards the castle in Molsheim of Ettore Bugatti. Therefore you have the same platform of a Volswagen as a Lamborghini, and an R8 os basically a revated Huracan.
