Defense Department officials disclosed an accounting error to Congress on Thursday that found the Pentagon overestimated the value of military aid sent to Ukraine by “at least” $3 billion. The error, found two months ago, will allow the Biden administration to send more support to Ukraine without seeking a funding package from Congress. According to the Pentagon, the U.S. has sent $30.4 billion in military aid to Ukraine since President Biden took office.
