Building a Swale (Water Management)

Here I show you how to create a swale using a broad fork. This is a type of earthwork that has been used by humans for thousands of years. It captures water and allows it to infiltrate into the land and build the water table. These are used in both dry and wet climates.
Swales are designed to be on contour, which means perpendicular to the slope of the land.
I also give an explanation of how I will be using the swale on my allotment plot and how it will benefit the plants growing near it.
