In this video we show how a Hobie pedal kayak like the Compass Duo, Tandem Pedal Kayak, can be fitted with a motor. Both of these mounts can work with many other brands of kayaks, but we are just using a Hobie for demonstration purposes. Several kayaks have powerpole stern mounts and other companies have made fin drive pedal kayaks like Hobie. Therefore these same Bixpy mount options can work on not just Hobie kayaks, but rather many other brands as well. The motor used is the very popular lightweight Bixpy Jet drive. The Bixpy Jet motor is a modular motor that can be attached to a wide array of available mounts so you can use it on nearly any kayak, SUP, or even take it scuba diving via handheld attachment. We have several videos on Bixpy and have owned one for years. Bixpy has 10hrs of runtime per battery charge & reaches speeds up to 6.5/7mph depending on what craft you mount it to.
