Hurricane Ian flooded our home and destroyed our community. The hospital where wife and I worked has evacuated so our income earning potential is very uncertain. We had a small kayak rental business, but that income too will be gone for possibly years. The YouTube channel is in the off season for viewership and doesn’t even pay the mortgage. We are essentially homeless and starting over. This hurricane was not typical. Florida gets hurricanes, but this was the perfect storm. My 3yr old daughter and I are in Iowa and my wife is in hell daily. She sleeps in a home covered in sewage and seawater. No power no drinkable water besides what she packed. I need to get to her. I hate to say it as a man…we need financial help. We just do. This is going to be months and years of sleepless nights. We may even be living in group housing situations with friends.
