Say This After a Homeowner Asks You a Question

Three reasons you should say this, right after a homeowner asks you a question. First, what you're gonna say is, great question. Now, why did we say that? Number one, it allows us to compliment the homeowner and people like to feel smart. So we say, Hey, that's a great question. It makes that homeowner. Feel like they've received a compliment.

Number two, it allows us to buy time so we can then later come back with exactly how to respond. And sometimes when we hear an objection or we get a question, if we just try to overcome it way too quickly, we jump the gun or it comes across a little forceful. So pump the brakes a little bit. That's a great question, and it'll buy you some time before you respond.

And then reason number three is once you do respond, that homeowner is gonna feel a lot more receptive because they received a compliment first. And there you have it. Three reasons why anytime someone asks you a question, start off before you respond by saying, that's a great question.
