Sen. Sanders calls on Biden to invoke the 14th Amendment to increase the debt limit

Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and ten Democratic lawmakers signed a letter to President Biden on Thursday urging him to use the 14th Amendment to increase the debt ceiling. A section of the U.S. civil war-era amendment could potentially allow Biden to override Congress to raise the debt ceiling, a consideration the President addressed last Tuesday.
