Japan is set to deploy up to 24,000 police officers at the G7 meeting in Hiroshima this weekend. Access to the island that features the summit’s main venue has been locked down with accreditation required for all people, including residents, to enter and leave. According to the country’s public broadcaster NHK, this year’s annual meeting has the largest security presence since 2000.
