India to launch tracking system for lost, stolen mobile phones

India is launching a nationwide tracking system aimed at stopping the theft of mobile phones, which New Delhi says is a huge problem in the country.
The system is designed to give users the ability to block and track their lost or stolen devices achieved via a mandatory numeric identifier, assigned to the phone before its sale.
