A Higher Level of Existence: The Ascension of Our Lord

Though perhaps not often thought of in this way, the bodily Ascension of Christ is a central tenet of the Christian Faith professed in the Creed. Moreover, together with the Passion and Resurrection of Christ, Christians experience the re-presentation of the Ascension at every Eucharistic Liturgy. By bringing the episode of the Ascension into conversation with the People of Israel's journey through the wilderness, Tony Crescio ( @anthonycrescio ) sheds light on how we are to enter into and participate in Jesus' Ascension beginning here and now and thereby live at a higher level of existence.
