Words of Encouragement, May 18 2023, Ep 636

SCRIPTURES:

BE YE RECONCILED ~ 2 Cor. 5:18-21

"Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."

A CONVERSATION ~

Q: "Does God send people to hell?"

A: "No people make their own choice."

Q: "Then what role does God play?"

A: "He influences them to make the right choice."

Q; "What about the devil...can he make people go to hell?

A: "No he cannot make people go to hell. He can only influence them to make the wrong choice.

Q: "So both God, and the devil, do not or cannot, force people to go to heaven or hell, they can only influence them to use their God-given free will to choose the way they desire them to go?"

A: "Thats right. Each person has to make up their own mind, and choose which path they will follow."

Q: "So then how does God or satan influence them?"

A: "There are many ways, but mostly through other human beings."

Q: So God or the devil use other people to make decisions good or bad?"

A: "Thats right."

Q: "So that means I can be partly responsible for someone going to hell? Or heaven?"

A: "Yes. Ultimately the choice is their and theirs alone, but evil actions can, and often do, influence others to reject God and do evil themselves, rejecting God and His ways in the process. The same is true for righteousness. A Parent that trains up a child to follow God and do right can have tremendous influence for good, and help their child to use their will to choose Love and righteousness, thereby rejecting lucifer and his ways in thenprocess."

Q: "I understand. God help me use my influence to help others see its best to choose whats right. And not to do things that would cause them to love or choose evil."

A: "Well said."
