It's absolutely crucial to do mental gardening when you work as a police officer. The job can be so stressful and traumatic that if you do not tend to your mind, you can start reliving events and having negative emotions from negative events running your life. I hope that makes sense.
I know it sounds a bit woo-woo but it's essential. Take time to fully relax, meditate, fish, laugh, be with uplifting people, and/or so much more to not let the negativity get the best of you. You see enough negativity, avoid becoming it during your #lawenforcement career.
