The Spruce fly is a classic streamer fly the still catches many fish of all species. I first fished this fly for trout in Pennsylvania back in the early 2000's and quickly started throwing it around on my warmwater streams here in the Midwest. A very colorful fly can works well in clearer water but can often catch fish in cloudy or muddied conditions. Plus, it is a fun classic streamer that is very handsome in and out of the water! -- Enjoy.
