The Mahamrityunjaya Mantra is associated with the name of Markandeya, a sage whose teachings are expounded in the Markandeya Purana. Markandeya was destined to die when he reached the age of sixteen, but thanks to his sincere love and devotion to the god Shiva, he received this incredible mantra and was able to avoid death.

The Mahamrityunjaya Mantra is known as the mantra that conquers death. The power of this mantra is enormous, it is life-giving and healing.
