Capstone C30 Microturbine - Full Power Run

This Capstone Microturbine can put out 30kW of electrical power while running extremely clean and with only 1 moving part. It can be used as an EV range extender or "portable" fast charger. It can run on almost any fuel source and is so clean it's legal to run in California without exhaust aftertreatment.

It is equipped with air bearings, so when running there is no friction or wear, as the one moving part spins at close to 100,000 RPM.

It's hooked to a 400v EV battery pack, and it uses a slight bit of energy from the pack to start itself, then reverses direction annd begins charging the pack. I didn't run it long at full power as I don't want to overcharge the pack.

It's being evaluated for use in an upcoming secret project. More to come later...
