Speaking to the media during the event’s post-fight press conference, Goodjohn said he thought he won the fight and should have gotten the nod. The former BKFC lightweight title contender felt he paid the price on an optics level with the scar tissue on his face for the ringside judges.

When asked if anything surprised him about fighting Tony Soto, Goodjohn again described his skin as being like tissue paper; saying the cut early on was a difference maker. He wanted to box Soto more and be more technical. Saying: "As soon as blood runs into my face, the dog comes out in me, and I just want to fight man"

‘El Tornado’ said he felt like he gave his fans their money’s worth and does so every time he enters the ring. Tyler Goodjohn quipped that you’ll have to stretcher him out of there before anyone gets him to quit.

Goodjohn reiterated he thought he did enough to win and admitted he was slow starter and that came from previous gloved boxing endeavors going ten rounds. Something that presents a very different pacing compared to the five, two-minute rounds in BKFC.

Goodjohn feels he has had worse cuts before with more damage sustained in the bare-knuckle boxing realm. The former BKB champion joked that he could at least see through his eyes this time unlike in his last bare-knuckle boxing bout.

When asked if the animosity still lingered between himself and ‘Loco’ after their fight of the night garnering clash, Goodjohn said,

“We were both getting stitched up in the medical room. We just said, Look, you know, we both gave each other respect. Said look, it was a good fight. I’d love to run it back and I’d love to have it in Miami.”

“You know, my new home. I’d love to have it in Miami. You know, I do feel like it was a bit of a hometown decision, to be honest with you. So yeah, let’s have it in Miami. Rematch. Let’s do it. Let’s do it.”
