‘Loco’ improved to 5-0 now as a bare-knuckle boxer and got the nod over a former BKB champion/ former BKFC lightweight title challenger in the process.

Speaking to the media in the post-event press conference, Soto said, “Tyler Goodjohn is a f***ing animal. Honestly, he made me dig so f***ing deep. I applaud him for that and thank you for that because I reached a part of myself that I never knew that was there. Man, what a f***ing fight and my crown tips over to him. Thank you for that fight, brother.”

As far as the overall bout breakdown, Soto stated, “So what had happened is the first two rounds, I felt real sharp. I had a significant adrenaline dump. The third and fourth round, I felt definitely were his rounds. But I got woken up later on in that fourth round and I sensed some urgency.”

“I said, you know what? I got to dig deep. He’s got those last two rounds. It’s going to be up to this fifth round. I need to show what the f**k I’m made of. I need to prove to this bare-knuckle world that I am who I say I am and I think I did.”

Soto quipped about how a particularly pronounced body shot from Goodjohn “sucked”. The undefeated BKFC fighter let out an audible groan and he knew ‘El Tornado’ heard it. Tony Soto was hit with some legit shots but felt he made some adjustments amid Goodjohn’s slick jab as well as great bodywork from the UK combatant.

Soto then began focusing on the in-fighting and the clinch work more as the fight raged on.

He felt a lot of pressure heading into this one as the partisan favorite. Soto bestowed the moniker of the King of the Carolinas on himself more as a gimmick initially but has since used it to galvanize his already strong resolve inside the ring.

In closing, Tony Soto mentioned how he gets confidence from looking in his children’s eyes knowing he can one day tell them they can be whoever and whatever they want to be. As ‘Loco’ follows his own dreams, he wants to impart to his kids that they can be limitless in their pursuit of what they truly want in life.
