In No Man's Sky, Beacons serve as a way to upload discoveries and get compensated for your time and effort in the form of units. Of course, anyone coming across your discoveries will also get to see that you've made them, and if you choose to give your discoveries a name, they can see those as well. No Man's Sky has a very interesting community aspect in that way. Since there are so many different creatures, planets, and plants to find, everyone can contribute if they want to. Obviously there is the Atlas within No Man's Sky, where all data is stored, but there's no doubt that people will utilize the internet to post pictures, videos, and gifs of their various discoveries. Twitter will no doubt be filled with awesome photographs of cool landscapes, interesting creatures, and weird plantlife for everyone to enjoy. Of course, if you just want to get in the game, discover stuff, and take your credits so you can go buy stuff, that's totally fine as well.

Still, the community aspect, the coming together and sharing experiences and information is a major point of interest for me. Even if I might not be flying with a wingman all the time, it's still neat that my buddies will have stories all of their own, and can choose to share them. It's really a hope of mine that No Man's Sky can bring everyone something new every day, even if it's just something small. Discovery for the sake of discovery can be cool, after all.

My question to you all is, how do YOU plan on naming the various things you come across? Will you have a naming system? Will you just do it at random? Will you name things after yourself or your friends, or will you come up with totally off the wall names for everything you will find? Or will you not name anything at all? Feel free to leave your plans in the comments section below and as always, stay foxy and much love!
