Chef Rodney Lienhart, now a home cook, refers to his cooking career as a "haunted house that's lit on fire," describing a journey that began as a passion but gradually turned into a terrifying nightmare, only to dump him out alive, somehow, on the other side. Raised in the South and trained in the kitchen by both devils and gods, Rodney possesses a unique ability to see flavors and the stories behind each one. Always on the hunt for new ingredients to craft his distinctive flavors, he discovered the missing ingredient that had been under his nose all along: weed. In 2024, Rodney has several exciting goals in store. He aims to publish a cookbook featuring his favorite infused dishes and mini-stories, work on the project Deliciously Dope, which explores the intersection of culinary and cannabis worlds, and run his podcast, The Daily CHRONIClez,(Produced and published by : IIVII Productions- his film production company). Additionally, he plans to write his book, "The Y Restaurant," which delves into his upbringing in the food industry and how it shaped him into the sardonic individual he is today. Despite the challenges of his acrid culinary career, Rodney's writing draws attention to the toxic nature of the industry regarding mental health. He aims to shed light on the unpleasant environment of the culinary underworld and his battles with alcoholism and substance abuse. His mistakes and adventures paint a vivid portrait of his journey, yet he always keeps a positive outlook and can vividly illustrate his words, putting readers in the scenario and allowing them to feel the emotions being described. Over the years, Rodney has honed his craft, the sharp wit to match, learning how to anticipate the evolution of sauces and flavors. He aims to pass on the wisdom he has gained through his experiences to aspiring chefs and cooks, inspiring them to pursue their passion with a clear vision and a deep understanding of the culinary world. All while smoking weed.
