The October War: Battle for the Sinai

In 1973 Syria and Egypt launch a two front war on Israel. Isreal handily deals with Syria (episode 1.2). But Egypt has assembled a far larger, modern, armored army and extensively practiced their invasion plan for the Sinai. Since the 1967 war (episode 2.9) Israeli forces in the Sinai have grown lackadaisical and over-confident. They are caught totally off guard and quickly lose ground. But the tide turns as Egypt returns to obsolete battle tactics in its attempt to further prosecute the war
