Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly and Innovation Minister François-Philippe Champagne speak to reporters in Seoul, South Korea, where they are accompanying Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on his first official visit to the country. Canada and South Korea are working to forge closer economic and cultural ties amid shared security concerns. Minister Champagne responds to questions on automaker Stellantis’ decision to halt construction of its $5-billion electric vehicle battery plant in Windsor, Ontario, over a subsidy dispute with the federal government. Joly faces questions on the upcoming the G7 leaders' summit that is taking place in Hiroshima, Japan, from May 19 to 21.
