Left-wing media giants like CNN and Reuters appear to be more angered that conservative political leader Giorgia Meloni, who is the current front-runner to win Italy’s national election in September, shared a video of a Ukrainian woman being raped on the streets of Italy by an African migrant than over the actual rape itself.

The video of the incident, which involved a 55-year-old Ukrainian woman being raped in the middle of the day on the streets of Piacenza by a 27-year-old asylum seeker from Guinea, is blurred out, but the woman’s screams can still be heard. The woman, who was merely walking down the street, was ambushed at random by migrant male. Although he has been arrested, the woman remains in the hospital in a state of shock.

It is first worth pointing out that Meloni, who leads the conservative Brothers of Italy party, was not the original publisher of the video. The whole incident was caught on film by a man who witnessed the rape from his window, and the video was published by an Italian news organization. So, the video was a matter of public record before Meloni shared it.
