Fermenting the feed is a simple process that involves soaking it in water for a day or so prior to feeding.
Fermenting chicken feed has many health benefits for your flock.
1. Able to digest to food more easily.
2. Fermenting draws out the nutrients making them easier for their bodies to absorb
3. Natural probiotics are added during the digestion process
4. Good gut bacteria are introduced during fermentation improving gut health
Follow these instructions to ferment your feed:
1. Fill a 5 gallon bucket 3/4 with feed.
2. Cover the feed with water, filling the bucket about 2 inches higher than the feed.
3. Watch it expand.
4. Wait at least 24 hours before using to allow fermentation to begin.
