Jessica Anderson is a candidate for Virginia House of Delegates District 71 on June 20th, 2023.

Jessica "Jess" Anderson is an "everyday" advocate for her community in District 71, Virginia. Born and raised in Newport News, she is intimately familiar with the struggles faced by families in the area. As a married mother to three daughters and stepmother to one son and daughter, Jess understands the everyday needs of her district.

Despite facing personal challenges, including financial difficulties during a divorce, she persevered and experienced firsthand the importance of social safety nets for families. Jess has a background in business administration and has worked in the dental field. She currently resides in Williamsburg/James City County with her husband, children, and pets.

Her experiences as a mother, community member, and part-time receptionist at an elementary school have given her insight into the needs of families and the education system. Motivated by her own struggles and a desire to address the flaws in existing systems, Jess seeks to be a voice for all in her role as House Delegate.
