What is history? I believe most of us carry a vague understanding of what history is or what the word means. Many people will tell you that history is used as a guide for the present and the future. Much of which is based on a statement made by philosopher George Santayana, “those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” What are we condemned to repeat? This is an important thought process because, “The verdict has been rendered, that light has come into the world, and men love darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil.” John 3:19
