The ill Ones of the Flock require the most Attention

June 5, 2010 – From YahuShua HaMashiach, Jesus The Christ, Our Lord and Savior – The Word of The Lord spoken to Timothy during an Online Fellowship, for a Brother in Christ and for all Those who have Ears to hear

A Brother in Christ asked this question… Lord, how do I pray for those who blaspheme Your Word and persecute Your servants? How do I pray double for them? What does that mean?

[YahuShua answered] Where does a shepherd spend his time, and which of his sheep require the most attention?… Therefore, pray in like manner, says The Lord. For indeed, the ill of the flock require the most attention, and the one in ninety-nine who has gone astray shall by no means be forsaken.

And though there are many who stand inside locked gates, while you stand outside, do you not remain all of one fold? And when I have freed them, will you not all rejoice together?…

Therefore treat them as such, and pray for them, even double, and it shall be well with you… For those who arrive last shall be embraced by those who had arrived first… Therefore let your heart remember this, as you look to the day… Says The Lord.

Parable of the aged Shepherd

July 14, 2012 – From Timothy, inspired in The Spirit – For The Lord’s Little Flock and for all Those who have Ears to hear

There was a man, an old man full of years, who grew up tending sheep. And to this day he tends them still, arising early and tending to them each day, even going out in the middle of the night when required, whether due to wolves or on account of approaching bad weather. He tends his sheep, for he knows no other trade, and enjoys doing so. The shepherd has no family, nor children of his own… The sheep are his family, and he cares for them as such.

One day a man came to him while he was out in the field, and offered to buy all the sheep for a good price, and said… ‚You are old and look very tired; let me take this flock off your hands. Then you can take the money and retire, and relax and enjoy life.‘

The aged shepherd paused and considered for a moment, and looked up at the man with a smile, and said with conviction… ‚I am retired; I haven’t had to work a day my whole life.‘ The man was puzzled by this, and did not understand what the old shepherd was talking about, and said… ‚But you have been tending sheep your whole life, and caring for their lambs since you were a boy!‘

As the aged shepherd’s mind drifted back across the years, he sighed contentedly, and answered… ‚Right. I have indeed been very blessed in my life.‘
