Reportedly, the U.S. Internal Revenue Service is considering a plan to create a free tax-filing system. This week, the IRS is expected to release a report on a "feasibility study" it conducted on the issue. According to reports, agency employees are thinking it over, so to speak. Allegedly, the federal government agency needs time to discuss and test out whether or not the IRS could itself create a service specifically to prepare and submit taxes directly to the government at no cost. Another reason it is still being "considered" is stated as an issue of where these million-dollar funds would come from, if not out of the pockets of American tax payers, of course.
