In the 1990s, Atlanta was home to a phenomenon known as Freaknik. This annual spring break party brought together thousands of young people from all over the country for a weekend of music, dancing, and generally letting loose. But as with any large gathering, there were incidents of misbehavior and even assault. In particular, some women reported being groped by male party-goers. However, it's important to recognize that these incidents were not representative of the overall atmosphere at Freaknik. For many attendees, it was a chance to celebrate their youth and enjoy the company of friends in a positive, party atmosphere.
