Top news right now, Upstate New York hotels evict homeless veterans to make way for migrants from New York City. Nonprofit agencies were providing temporary housing for homeless veterans in these hotels, but they were recently displaced to nearby motels and hotels, 20 minutes away from their original location. This displacement came about due to Mayor Eric Adams' migrant busing campaign to ease overcrowding in New York City. The CEO of the Yerik Israel Toney Foundation believes expelling veterans was a matter of money for the hotel. The hotel gets paid more for taking in migrants compared to the $88 a day the small non-profit pays to house the veterans. Learn more about this outrageous act of betrayal towards our nation's heroes.
