Description
Even in Belgium before the 1960s, you’d have struggled to find a witbier. That is, until Pierre Celis resurrected this style of wheat beer – once widely brewed – in the town of Hoegaarden. Celis revived the style adding coriander seeds and Curaçao orange peel to make one of the world’s most refreshing styles. Today, Hoegaarden is the world’s most popular witbier and drank around the world. In the six-litre PerfectDraft keg, it is the perfect beer to get in for the summer barbecue.
Tasting Notes
Spice, cloves, citrus. Lemony with a low bitter crisp body. Top-fermented and bottom conditioned to create the unique haziness and incredibly smooth mouthfeel.
